English version: After many eventful weeks containing a lot of work on the tractors, we left with a lot of good faith to Ahoy on Saturday the 7th of March. This time without our, in meantime, regular driver Evert Snapper and his trusted GPS. But everybody kind of, sort of knew the way so no problems there. Or so we thought. Unfortunately we missed the right junction, whereby we had to take a beautiful touristic route through the centre of Rotterdam. With even an intermediate stop to see a nice bridge, and to measure its height. This because it was hard to estimate if we could go underneath it by bus. Eventually we arrived at 18.00. The Mini Unlimited was scheduled as the 3th class to compete. Couzijn was the first to start with a test pull. De nose of our tractor fell down on the track a couple of times during the run, in combination with the new tires this was the reason that the tractor lost traction. The settings of the sledge stayed the same after our pull. The distance turned out to be the 4th best of all the qualification pulls and we were up for the finale. Even though they had a nice pull, Gompie got in the 5th distance. The Vampire and the Lambada 8 and 9 also had distances that were far enough to pull in the final. We decided not to change anything on the tractor before the final run and of course we had to pull first again. After a nice start 1 of the cylinders stopped after about 30 meters. The cause was a jammed lifter, so two valves were crooked and the head was somewhat damaged. The ending results were: Lambada 9 1st, Lambada 8 2nd and the Vampire 3th. We headed home with an accomplished 4th place. On the way back to Putten we missed another junction, this time for a sandwich with minced meat. So the last gas station at the A28 before Putten was visited, that way everybody could go to their beds contently. The damage seems to be less than expected and hopefully easily repaired. We hope to see you all in Stroe at the 23th of March 2015. Below we posted a picture of our new disk plates, these were cut by Van Hierden Metaal. Multiple times we have gotten something like this sponsored from them and as always we are really happy with this! om te bewerken.
